Butterfly Theme

I have been waiting for this theme all spring! It is time to learn all about butterflies and their metamorphosis. The best way for kids to learn is to make learning as hands-on as possible. To do this, I highly suggest ordering live caterpillars from Insect Lore and watching them change into butterflies. I bought a cup of caterpillars last year and my boys loved watching them day by day and then finally releasing them. I knew we would be doing this activity again. If you do not wish to order caterpillars, you will still be able to participate in this free curriculum. The live caterpillars are just an added bonus and I can not recommend it enough! Caterpillars take 2-3 days to ship to you, so plan accordingly to have you caterpillars on time.

NOTE: Some of the activity links go straight to a pin on Pinterest instead of a blog page. Read the description of the pin for the activity instructions. If you are new here, make sure to check out the Themed Curriculum page for more details about how to use this curriculum. Looking for a different theme? Check out all of our themes here.

As you go through this week’s activities make sure tag @kidslearningforlife to share the activities you do! Also, don’t forget to follow us on Facebook or Instagram!
