Take a Peek Inside:
Becca –
Can I just say, “Everything IS Awesome” in this film unit study for the Lego Movie. I taught it with my kiddos ages 7 to 14. They really enjoyed the Language Arts lesson on story starters. I was really impressed with what they came up with. They also had fun searching the home looking for simple machines. Over a week after finishing the lessons, my 8 year old said, “Look, Mom, you’re using a wedge to cut the cucumbers.” Their favorite, however, was the pixel art. My older kids embarked on bigger projects using Minecraft Education, and my younger kids embarked on smaller projects adapting it to melty beads. I love the inspiration and flexibility that these unit studies offer. The suggested videos were right on target and very interesting. This was an awesome opportunity to do something fun and different after finishing state testing. I highly recommend!
